In addition to academic and clinical research aimed at, along with more than 10 years is a volunteer with extensive experience in issues of racial inequality, human rights, providing advice on social inclusion and national and international legislation of the United Nations (UN). She participated in the rebuilding of cities devastated by hurricanes in the United States of UN-Habitat, together with her Master, writer and leader of the Black community in the United States was Dr. Marvin Dunn creator of the project Black Miami in the U.S. for social inclusion of children and adolescents black schools in the community, was invited to volunteer to help children orphaned by the AIDS virus in Africa. She has been working as a volunteer in various projects of the UN since 1992. She
 works were very important for children orphaned by the virus. Along with her husband travel journalist Gergorio Messina participated in several missions in Africa, India, Timor, Asia, Panama, gaps between other countries in South America.
